Well that's one car I'll be glad not to drive again, I just couldn't get the thing to handle how I liked through out the whole competition.

Yeah, me too.

Seemed quite promising in testing but never really got a decent handle on it in the competition. Best event was ironically last night where I got in the front door three minutes before qually, and hadn't done any testing whatsoever. Last weeks tune did OK considering.

This might sound like racing drivers excuse but it might be a bit sensitive to tyre temperature?

Very odd race last night...

Qualifying was a disaster as the car would not stop spinning its rear wheels up and even got annoyed enough (Being hot and bothered) to handbrake it and drive the pile of tosh into a wall. Calmed down but could not get anywhere near my time in testing.

Then the race started and felt fine with the car. Took a couple of places on the first lap and ended up behind Spiney (As usual), had a little incident with Magic, chose to pit early, and then came out 4th.

Guru was catching me, then falling back, then catching before dropping back. Was looking forward to a battle

The overall champ was tough! Really tough. The cars were a pig!! But all in all I enjoyed it and would like to thank @TfR Guru; for organising the comp and thanks to all the guys at FMUK for the racing as this was my first full FMUK comp and certainly will not be the last!

its got to be the car, as i used my setup from suzuka, and that was a great setup, in qf car felt dodgy, unstabble then 1st part of the race, my car was amazing, had loads of grip and felt stable, styraight away i pitted, the car changed its mind, very unstable, didnt want to turn in, im sure motor seen me go side ways a few times cuz of the car, i swear if there was another lap motor would have won easy

great comp really enjoyed the battles with IRT guys and motor just gutted i missed 2 races

thanks guys

This one's for @totlxtc

I get the feeling I was the only person to enjoy driving the Monaro, possibly because I went high on power (except Silverstone and Suzuka) so making it more fun

Definitely had better pace at Silverstone, although really it was the consistency which got me third. Ignoring the first lap and the IN and OUT laps for the pits, I only had three laps worse than 1:59.5 and those were all below 2 minutes. Not too bad when my best lap was a high 1:58.6... Looking at the best lap times for everyone, it was definitely the consistency which served me well rather than outright pace.

Lots of people mentioning the tyres going off, but I would have to agree with Magic that temperature seemed to be a big factor - the tyres seemed to go off a cliff above about 210ish. That certainly seemed to be the case at Sunset for me where I was really struggling with the car, eased back for a couple of laps so the tyres cooled and after that started putting in much better laps (by the best part of a second or so).

Very true, but looking at the overall scoreboard the same could be said, amongst others, of (order just from reading down the table and picking "top" drivers) IRT Burnz, HLR Screaming, PzR Raf, FMS F Alonso, TfR Mike and HLR Warrior

That was a fantastic race, thought I was down and out after lap 2 when Senna got past me but started bringing it back after the pit stops. My car felt a bit understeery but the tyres stayed pretty cool and was so consistent. When I caught Senna I tried rushing a move too much and l didn't have enough top end either.

Still, was a great chase and a thrilling end to a season I only joined halfway through.
