Perhaps we should have run it last week, even though nobody was really up for it - we had more turn up!

As usual, Joe disappeared off into the distance, and Stoney was plenty fast enough too. Bailey appeared to be struggling a bit with the Skyline until leaving the race. Which left myself, Milton and smokin battling for 3rd. Up until lap 12, it was very tight with positions beginning to change but nobody getting a break from the other two. But, smokin suffered with the FWD tyre wear - if we run a similar comp in future we may have to give the FWDs and AWDs a PI gain to counteract the increased/uneven tyre wear compared to the RWDs. So, he was compelled to stop of lap 12 for a two stop strategy, and I decided to follow him in on lap 13.

The second stint saw me able to get some solid times in while smokin appeared to suffer the curse of the dodgy set of tyres and dropped back. Meanwhile, Milton was implementing a one-stop strategy and ran long until lap 20. By lap 24, I had a 1700ft gap to smokin who had a similar gap to Milton, and we both pitted. As I exited the pits, Milton went past leaving me about 300ft adrift, but on tyres 4 laps fresher. By lap 27 we were nose to tail and positions swapped a couple of tyres. As the last lap started, I was approx 100ft ahead and fairly confident of holding Milton off. In contrast, he felt that he could see a way to get past me for 3rd.

And then..... AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARGH!!!!!!!!!!! Suddenly Milton wasn't 100ft+ behind me, but stationary about 5ft ahead. Lots of damage left us both limping around the last lap to the finish - good job we only have limited rather than simulation damage. Smokin was closing, but not enough to nab 4th place. A bit of a sad end to what had been a good race between Milton and I.

Piss poor performance on my part, I was a combination of too hot and dehydrated to concentrate.

I really enjoyed the racing . Only Shane was smokins tires as there was points we Waa 3 wide round sections and nose to tail for laps at a time.

Really annoying lag crash as I was eyeing up a move on spiny for 2 laps before. I knew I was faster at one section and could make a move and had practiced it too. Then last lap waiting till the right bit and boom . Lag a sawrex made a visit. Limped round with nearly 100% everything.

Bring on next week.

Ps whats my pi @Spiny Anteater

The fwd tyre wear is an issue as it wears nearly twice as fast as rears on Rwd cars. Lap 12 I was already having issues at 65%+ with rears at half that. Over a flying lap, it was there or there abouts with the weak Link being me.
