I know it's a slightly unfair selection as we know more about some than others, but hey it's just a fun poll

We've discussed F1 2010 and GT5 a lot on here so check out the videos for the rest if you've not seen them.

TDU2

1st one was a shot in the arm for the series, knowing the second one will be adding dynamic weather, day night cycles and doubling the amount of roads (you get Ibiza plus Oahu from the original) has got me wet in anticipation.

I've been eagerly anticipating F1 2010 for a while, but that video of TDU2 looks fantastic, that looks like the sort of game that could swallow huge chunks of my life!

It will ! I drove something like 20k miles in the original, wonder if the achievements will also include the 'Drive on every road in the game' again which of course I did

The clubs section has been massively expanded for this one, one of the highlights is the 'club exclusive' cars - you wont be able to buy them in game and will only get them by meetiong certain goals in your club

I can see an FMUK club in TDU2. That's the one with most potential as the hype for it has been minimal.

I have no excitement about TDU2 at all to be honest, barely on my radar. Not sure why, I did play the previous one but don't recall what I didn't like about it.

Would've been nice to have this as a multiple choice, I'm expecting TDU, F1 2010 and WRC 2011 to be pretty awesome

I'd love to say Hot Pursuit is going to be great, but in my experience every EA racer that looks a lot of fun in promo material ends up being absolutely sh*te (NFS Sh*te being a good example, actually).

I didnt vote for it, but I've got my eye on it as NFS:HP 2 on the original xbox was one game I rated.....

Like you say recent experience suggest NFS are pap but the fact they are looking back at the original NFS on 3DO as inspiration (one of my all time fav games) is positive ?

I don't know if any of them will deliver, but I'm hoping WRC cuts the mustard.

The same for me, I think F1 2010 will flop like Race Pro due to the amount of hype that the game has created on the forums.

TDU was a fantastic game and with the added improvements that are going to be in the 2nd game will have me playing this more than any other game I have.

GT5 is the one game on that list that I'm looking forward to... neither of the others float my boat to be honest.
That being said, there's a ton of ways in which GT5 can fail, so I just know I'm gonna be disappointed by something
- I just hope it isn't as game breaking (for me) as the FM3 issues were/are.

Would be great if the WRC game was any good (proper physics and feedback), but I'm not holding my breath.

What I liked about TDU was the character immersion. You became a person in the game with clubs to join, mansions to own, a fleet of cars to view as well as the strangely enjoyable physics that merged arcade with simulation in a perfect balance for a "pick up" and drive game.

With more immersion and more roads as well as dynamic driving conditions I think it'll be a winner.

Biggest flaw in TDU was the online play was a bit pants, but then I had no Live friends at the time. Hopefully, now I have more friends, that issue may be fixed.

F1 games have failed to deliver since...was it the 97 version (possibly before that) with the Jordan on the front ?
crap since. I leave well alone.
Gran Turismo 5 Will be worth the wait, all the previous ones where for me at least.
As for the other Arcade racers "NO".

The handling was spot on, pretty much the best mix of arcade/simulation I've come accross yet. Each one of the cars was different (fav was the Noble M12) in how they handled which was a big positive.

The dashboards of the cars frankly piss all over F3 efforts even today, massively detailed with working GPS in the posh ones and a true 'head cam' in that were you pointed the stick you looked, no snapping to left/right.

The social aspect was to me one of the best, several of my real life buddies got the game and we met a lot of people online just cruising around - until F2 most people on my FL were from TDU. I also got more foreigners on my FL from this than any other game > American + Canadian mostly but the Italians loved it as well.

The multiplayer was excellent, every single one of the 'tracks' (really a series of checkpoints) were selectable as maps. Imagine an epic race around the entire island as well as the usual shorter lap and point>point and your getting there.

There were no real 'glitch' cars either, one or two were very good and potentially in the wrong class but nothing game breaking.

It had some truly innovative features as well, dont like the in game music ? Change it on the xbox dash right ? No! Just make a playlist on your pc/device called 'test drive' and it would be selectable and controllable using the in game controls.

One of the unique features was if you hadnt driven to a particular location yet, you couldnt use the 'quick jump'. But this worked both ways in that if you needed a location that your friend had, you'd just get in the car and follow them there.

Not all good as the online 'ranked' was a bit poorly implemented though. Never really got it figured out but instead of trueskill you seemed to be awarded/deducted points (with everyone starting on 1000) as your career went on. So the guy that played the most, would be top of the leaderboards and after a time became uncatchable (on the board at least).

Lastly I enjoyed the drive-ins, you could make your own tracks/challenges and post them with an entry fee. So you'd make money without even playing as people tried to beat your track.

I'll stop now, but you can probably tell I loved it

Thanks for the comments on TDU, definitely got me interested to see what the sequel will be like. I notice it's been delayed from September to early 2011 so have updated the OP.

Would be cool if they have implemented last.fm into the music for this one.

That might actually play into my favour, less of a strain on my budget lol !

Unfotunately thats not going to happen, MS have previously gone on record saying that it took too much processor power (********!) and it would affect the games....

I'm with you Wiggy. For what my expectations of the game are, i'm sure it will easily meet them. It's a great get away for serious competition type of game.

I wish they could do that. Nothing that turning the game music off and having music on the laptop can't fix though

I'm more worried about which will be the most over hyped failure. Thinking it'll be GT5.
