if we could just score goals we would be doing so much better as the amount of games we have 60% odd possession and lose is unreal.

Yeah I'm pretty shocking in front of goal. Number of times in ultimate team matches I have over 60% possession even against much better teams and just can't find the back of the net is unreal. Any tips would be most appreciated. And any tips on the best way to go about building my player up would be good too.

I think it all comes down to time. I think the best way would be to have 2 teams playing friendlies against each other and one person playing ANY just letting things go past them

But the legit way would be to use spare time playing in the "drop-in" matches doing a defensive/defensive midfield role so that you are getting some passes/tackles and games under your belt that will slowly build up stats.

I started off avoiding the 5'2" player route and just went 5'11 and the weight just before it enforces that you go stocky build and hope that the extra strength helps win/keep the ball.

But if you have a preferred position then try to tailor your pro for that. I.e if you are a winger just go 5'5" - 5'6" and light as a feather and try getting to the by-line for crosses. And find a mic I thought your positional play was good last night but having not played with you in a long time and having no voice contact it was hard to know where you were going to go in terms of making runs or pulling defenders out of position.

As for scoring... if it is against the AI keeper it seems to work just blasting it at the corners with laces shots. Finesse isn't as effective at the moment.

Same with us, we almost always have about 60% possession, but struggle to score.

Thoroughly enjoyed last night, even if i am rubbish! Highlight for me was definitely my 20 yard screamer from outside the area, after i didn't want to be passed the ball when in a shooting position, and with only my 2nd shot ever in Pro club mode And also managing not to lose the ball for a few seconds after a quick freekick, even though i didn't even realise i had it!!! LOTS of practice required on my part, all i can do at the moment is pass the ball and make the occasional tackle, not a clue how to beat a man other than with pace.

I'm more or less the same at the moment but your shot was good
Was getting annoyed with the fact I'm pressing pass but the defender would tackle me before the pro would allow the pass to go through and again the control some 1 played a cracking ball into the corner last night I'm pulling back yet player ran forward

I have only one thing to say.

Can't believe how many games we lost when clearly on top, creating chance after chance. One thing I did notice is that our build up was always through a bunch of defenders and we very rarely had break away chances. Most goals against us seemed to be scored in breakaways.

You can't score on a counter attack if you always have the ball. It is definitely much harder with a load of players as the defence tends to be left stranded. Still fun though.

When your pro is as **** as they are at the moment you really have to be starting the pass when a defender is a good few yards off you. I think we need to remember that unless you are in a one on one situation with no support the best way to get the ball past a defender is to pass it past them and then run into space. None of us are good enough with the exception of possibly Mike to regularly beat people by skill alone. I'm not saying people shouldn't try it but maybe be a bit smarter at where we try it. In the attacking third, no problem, beating someone normally results in a chance but to do it your own half and fail normally results in a chance for them.

Totally agree, maybe we should look at trying a counter attack style. Giving them plenty of possession and then hit them on the break?

Ok. We shall play milo in the middle of the pitch then

If we get another situation where we have 6+ people on could someone set up a 2nd team and we can play some friendlies?

I quickly realised that as soon as i get the ball, i have to play it on, ideally to a team mate, as i just don't have the skill to take players on yet. Last night was definitely frustrating at times given the pressure we were having against teams, but fune nonetheless.

Gonna try study the online manual a bit today, try work out how i can improve.

Sounds like keeping the sprint button down too much. I was doing that to begin with, but realised that i don't have to sprint everywhere if i'm playing in 1 position only. If i'm playing on the left wing, but we are defending, i have no reason to be charging up and down after the ball, i should be waiting for the breakaway. A bit of tracking back is good, but you shouldn't need to sprint everywhere all the time.

Just in case it wasn't obvious, everyone is free to play the ANY role if they fancy it. I just tend to use it because there are no objections.

Given that i have enough problems playing 1 role, i'll leave that to someone more competent

Just a question to those more in the know, can i continually change the position/physical attributes of my player if i so choose? Tempted to go with 6'5"+ defensive midfielder with the strength (and weight) of an ox Should be good in the air, providing the laws of gravity don't pull his mommoth frame back to earth to quickly
