DTM/Cossie cup S2 week 1

Nice close racing other than Joe - but not to the extent he normally does
Plenty falling foul of 130R during qually and uncerting

Replays certainly worth a look i think

Race 1
  1. Axiom
  2. Stoney
  3. Spiny
  4. JohnG
  5. Pepsighost
  6. Milton
  7. Smokin
  8. Spacejock

Race 2
  1. Axiom
  2. Spiny
  3. Stoney
  4. Smokin
  5. Pepsighost
  6. Milton
  7. JohnG
  8. Spacejock

Table updated.

Week 2, a chance for others to catch up - Joe and possibly Spiny away. Hopefully LeeTBTS will back to fill in numbers.

Thanks to Spacejock coming out of retirement to make up some numbers. You might have felt rusty matey but youll pick up a bit more next week

Uncerted quali Then race 1 once I got through the pack I tried to hunt Joe down but he was too far ahead.

Race 2 the car was dreadful. Not the power reduction but grip, it was all over the place. I had no confidence going into and out of the corners. I had to unplug my mic as the battery light was flashing on lap 7, so i had one eye on the controller which let Spiny close up the gap to 100ft, which yo-yo'd for a couple of laps. Then he finally got past me and the gap stayed the same for a few more laps but a few mistakes from me allowed the gap to open up to a 200-300ft.

But it was all good clean racing and looking forward to next week

Also thought John G got 3rd in race 1??

I thought it was good racing last night. That damn Merc grabbing a spot on the line

This track wasn't suited the r34 strengths and wasn't enough overtaking spots. It very good on thw brakes but no where to out brake anyone or enough sweepers.

Looking forward to next week.

Confirmed - that was why he was complaining about lack of power through the 2nd race

Definitely a pity I messed up the qualifying lap, but I guess that's the result of not getting chance to get a couple of laps practice before the race. Was over a second a lap quicker in the first race and gained another half second in the second race so was definitely improving.

The Mustang is definitely down in straightline speed - the only thing which compares to it is the Skyline. But, judging by the lap times I'd say they do gain in handling and certainly, once clear I was able to stretch the gap a bit. It's just getting around people which is the difficult bit - had to wait for a mistake from everyone I passed last night except for Stoney.

And, in relation to the OP, I will definitely not be able to make next week

Didn't hear you complaining in the race (something about starting out with flat batteries) - just John

lol I was wasn't worried about the power reduction as i was able to keep you at bay for a while, it was the 10 laps of my controller light flashing warning me of low batteries that I was worried about
